Dave also serves on the Area 1 JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Center) Board and as a member of the National IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) Codes & Standards Committee. Dave is also known by his family and coworkers to be an avid offshore fisherman.
Wade (Dave’s brother) comes to Parkin Electric bringing over 30 years of industry experience. Wade has worked in a variety of capacities including; executive management, project management, estimating, design engineering and procurement of a variety of electrical and communication systems. Wade’s experience includes both electrical and general contracting, and includes projects in the medical, industrial, high technology, and commercial areas with single project electrical contract values up to $40 million. Wade is past Board President and current board member of the IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors Association), in Portland, Oregon. Member of the MCA (Merit Contractors Alliance) board and a board member of the CAT (Cat Adoption Team) in Sherwood, Oregon. Wade also enjoys offshore fishing, and is a somewhat more effective fisherman than his brother Dave.
Maureen (Dave’s wife) comes to Parkin Electric with a degree in Health Education from Portland State University. Maureen is in charge of our safety program ensuring the safe work environment and practices of all of our employees. The company safety record is a testament to her hard work and dedication. Parkin Electric has not had a time lost accident since 2001. Her other duties included general Corporate accounting management and Company policy management. Maureen is currently Secretary of the Electrical Apprenticeship board for Area 2 and is a member of the IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) National Safety Committee. Maureen’s hobbies include raising Guide Dog puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind with her daughter Stephanie, and is currently on her 9th puppy.
Gary came to work for Parkin Electric in 1992 as an apprentice, coming from his family owned and operated HVAC company, Rose Heating and Cooling. Gary quickly rose thru the ranks to his current position due to his natural ability to identify with a customers vision, system requirements and the ability to provide the customer with cost effective solutions. System design and integration are key attributes that make Gary the top of his class. Fortunately, Gary’s main hobby is working. Other than that, he is an accomplished snowboarder, mountain biker and off-road ATV enthusiast.
Tonya came to Parkin Electric in 1997 as a receptionist. Her current duties include billing, scheduling, job tracking and project accounting. She has a great attitude and is well liked by all of our customers and employees. If there is a problem or need in billing or scheduling, Tonya is well known as the “go-to” person. Tonya’s hobbies include boating and camping. She does not however enjoy Ocean fishing. The results we found, are not pretty.
Amanda arrived from Hanna Industries. If you contact Parkin Electric, you will talk to Amanda. When you do talk to her, there will be no mistake, you will feel better. Amanda has an unexplainable cheery personality. Our saying in the office is “if you feel down, call Amanda”. She checks schedules with customers, coordinates utility connections, inspections and sub-contractors.
